Designed to support the needs of busy workgroups, the MX-3110N is packed with great features and come with network printing (PCL6), copying and network colour scanning functions as standard. They also offer a Super G3 fax option

The MX-3110N offers print and copy speeds of 31ppm (pages per minute) in both monochrome and colour. In addition, the MX-3110N supports Postscript 3 (optional MX-PK11 required) as well as XPS printing (MX-PUX1), enhanced compression kit (MX-EB11) for the creation of smaller files for scanning as well as a new web browsing kit (MX-AM10) to enable users to browse the web via the MFPs User Interface and print web pages and PDFs (MX-PK11 required for PDF printing) direct from the web without the need for a PC.

Sharp's proudest feature of these new MFPs is the revolutionary 10.1 inch W-SVGA colour touch screen which allows users to preview documents before copying/scanning or faxing. The benefit of which is that documents can be edited / re-arranged / rotated / pages deleted or added to a job before it commences, ensuring that user errors are minimised and the potential to waste toner and paper are drastically reduced.

The new MX-3110N has seen quite a major transformation from its predecessor (MX-3100N) in order to realise some quite stunning improvements in the environmental performance of this machine.

Firstly, a new fusing system has been developed along with new toner and developer to ensure that less toner is used on the paper, which has two major benefits. The first is reduced power consumption and warm-up time as a result of the fuser having to heat to a lower temperature in order to fuse the toner to the paper. This process also reduces toner consumption and ensures toner goes further as a result, without impacting on print/copy quality. Overall, the new MX-3110N have power consumption figures (TEC) some 60% lower and warm-up times 75% lower than the MX-3100N.

The new MX-3110N also sports a new white LED scanning lamp replacing the old Xenon lamp, thus contributing to the overall reduction in power consumption figures. In addition, the new models have an Eco Scan function which ensures that the fuser is not heated during scanning / faxing operations when it is not required.
